Inter-American Human Rights Database



Introduction
The Inter-American Human Rights Database contains documents in English and Spanish adopted by the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights since its first session, celebrated in 1960. Given the increasing need to accede to the case law of this body, our initial efforts have been concentrated in making the reports on individual cases available to the general public. Also, we have posted the reports on sessions corresponding to the first years of work of the Commission. Furthermore, the Database will include special country reports and thematic reports adopted by the Commission since its inception.

Introduccion
La Base de Datos Interamericana de Derechos Humanos contiene documentos en inglés y español adoptados por la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos desde su primera sesión, celebrada en 1960. En virtud de la creciente necesidad de acceder a la jurisprudencia de este órgano, nuestros esfuerzos iniciales se han concentrado en poner a disposición del público los informes relativos a casos individuales. Asimismo, se han incorporado los informes de sesiones correspondientes a los primeros años de trabajo de la Comisión. La Base de Datos también incluirá los informes especiales sobre países y los informes temáticos adoptados por la Comisión desde sus inicios.
